i’ll never forget this session with phlash – we were at bugz’ minerva rd studio in the B room, phil had his MPC60 and we were working, creating and smoking the night away.

i passed out on the sofa at some point, woke up a while later and phil had made this whole other beat. one of the mainstay keyboards at bugz was the korg polysix. i jumped on that and, still half asleep and fully zoned out, multitracked a whole lot of synth madness and some rhodes. such a vibey mood and the free flow creativity that birthed it is testament to how phil liked to work – it was always about the vibe and spontaneity was always king. this is the only release we did under the moniker 12 Bit Refugeez. πŸ”Š Locust (bitasweet records πŸ™πŸΌ
